Japanese Raden Box

This box is modeled after an antique from the the pre 1900s edo period of Japan. It mimics raden art, which is the use of mother of pearl embedded in the wood. This style isn't something you would typically see though, as I took a lot of creative liberty with the design. The Japanese calligraphy on the side of the box approximately translates to "Sweets Shop."
